Reactions: VirtualLarry. That would be my guess as well, but again. Installing the proper drivers will confirm that. Windows 10 did not auto-find the drivers. I ran the install CD from my motherboard. It took a while and when it was all over I couldnt see any changes in the Device Manager.
Sorry if I forgot to mention that. I am not a beginner. I've been making my own systems since DOS 3. I remember the first time I got a decent motherboard that came with a driver disc I damn near wet myself. One thing I've noticed is that while building a fresh computer is marginally easier with each new OS, each new OS also introduces brand new problems which I have to research and the research process gets more infuriating each time around. Posted November 2, There is a 5Gb partion for windows and a 35Gb partition for games, music etc. The first test i ran where i got the bad score was on the 5Gb partition.
I guess when it comes down to it, its just the test programs which are fucked. Does anyone know a good program for testing harddrives when Sisoft and PC mark are so bad.
