FTP Multiple files by Prasanna G » Fri Aug 07, am Hi My requirement is to read a configuration flat file which will contain Mainframe file names, IP address of the destination, destination folder, destination file name. I need to read the config file sequentially and transfer each of the mainframe file and FTP it to the particular IP address mentioned against the mainframe file.
Can someone let me know if it is feasible? Where is the size problem coming from -- and how big is the file that is too large? Well, the command was accepted when I tried to use it, but the problem is that when I tried to upload the file using the command 'send' ftp hangs up, and definitley closes the session. I sometimes get this error because of firewall problems when trying to ftp behind a router. You might try switching to active or passive mode depending of what you are currently using to see if this helps.
I have a couple of programs that do this, but without specifying record size. The blocking command should be okay. Are you sure you don't have a permissions issue? Does ADM. These files should be transferred in binary mode from Mainframe to Azure. Execute pipeline and check transmitted file. Browse file to see the content. Since file is in binary format it is not readable directly; it needs to be converted to ASCII using some tools.
Download the file and view in Hex Editor to confirm if Hex values of data is same on mainframe and azure. As shown in the screenshot above hex values for the data is same on Mainframe and Transferred file in Azure.
