In this statement, I will identify some of the types of crimes we are seeing, steps the FBI has taken to prepare to capably respond to such crimes, developments we anticipate in electronic commerce which will have an impact on our investigative role, and I will address the adequacy of existing criminal statutes to prosecute such crimes.
